69157-141716-359745 5/8/2014 Arunachal Pradesh The Shillong Times reports that Arunachal Pradesh Police rescued a businessman earlier abducted on April 29 by IK Songbijit faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-IKS) militants from his farmhouse at Pasighat in East Siang District after a fierce encounter with the rebel outfit at Bora Jaldobi village in Assam's Dhemaji District, a top Police officer said on May 3. A Police team lead by East Siang Superintendent of Police (SP), Devendra Arya rescued 65-year-old Keshav Pandey from the captivity of the militants after about one hour gun battle in the night of May 2 and arrested four cadres, identified as Rajiv Narzary, Suresh Basumatary, Bolin Boro and Tengana Narzary while three others managed to escape.
