Security forces (SFs) killed five terrorists during an encounter near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Mengana forest area of Sabjian sector, Poonch district. Official sources said a group of six terrorists were spotted in Mengana forests by SFs deployed at forward locations. Even as the terrorists were asked to surrender, they resorted to indiscriminate firing, In the ensuing encounter, five of them were killed while one managed to escape. A civilian trapped in the cross firing was also killed. Another civilian and an SF personnel were injured in this encounter.
