During the search operation, SFs killed at least two terrorists, while a Central reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, too, was killed in the clashes. The encounter was in progress, when reports last came in. According to official sources, the terrorists had established a hideout at the house of Mohammad Akbar Mir, brother-in-law of the former Law Minister and People s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Tangmarg Ghulam Hassan Mir. Separately, SF personnel killed one more terrorist during an encounter at Narian Bahak in Karnah.
