Reports quoting the Eastern Pritana (divisional headquarters) of the Royal Nepalese Army said that clash occurred after a group of insurgents lobbed hand grenades at a security patrol at Limbu Chowk. Three of the four Maoists killed were identified as Mohan Khanal, Purna Shrestha and Bidur Limbu. One hand grenade, one motorcycle and a bicycle were recovered from the incident site.
