According to Hyderabad Police sources, Hamza, once a resident of the Santoshnagar area in the city, was involved in the blasts at the State Task Force office in October 2005 and at the Mecca Masjid on May 18, 2007. Police also believe that Hamza was responsible for smuggling RDX into the country on the orders of HuJI commander Shahid Bilal.
