Kantipuronline reports that at least six activists of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) were injured as they were attacked by some members of the Nepali Congress (NC) in Janakpur on October 24. According to eyewitnesses, the NC members assaulted the MJF cadres who were staging a peaceful demonstration outside Gopal Dharmashala demanding implementation of the 22-point agreement reached between the MJF and the government. The NC which was organising a tea party in the same venue to celebrate the formal reunion of the NC and the NC (Democratic) attacked the MJF cadres after they started chanting slogans against the NC and the government.
