Two cadres of the Jwala Singh faction of the Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-J) were killed by police in Saptari district on February 7, reports Kantipuronline. According to the police, Chandreshwar Kamat alias Sher Singh and Raj Kumar Mandal alias Ranjit of the JTMM-J were shot dead when they clashed with police at Belichapena Village Development Committee (VDC). Kamat was area no. 4 in-charge of the JTMM-J whereas Mandal was a high ranking activist. Superintendent of Police, Bikram Singh Thapa, said that the two were killed in retaliatory action after JTMM-J cadres attacked the police patrol. Police also recovered one home-made pistol and six rounds of bullets from them.
