Two militants were killed during an encounter with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel at Mirzapur village under Atrai sub-district of Naogaon district on August 1, reports Daily Star. The slain militants were identified as Naser Ali of Atgram village and Saiful Islam Palowan alias Kajol of Jamgram village. Acting on a tip-off, RAB personnel raided a bush at Mirzapur where Naser, Kajol and some of their associates were holding a secret meeting at around 3:30 am (BST). In the ensuing encounter, Naser and Kajol sustained injuries while their accomplices managed to escape. The duo died later.
