The Himalayan Times reports that a Police constable, Awadesh Kumar Jha, a resident of Rautahat, was injured when unidentified assailants of an armed gang attacked a temporary Police Post at Padampokhari Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Makawanpur District in the night of January 18. The assailants also took away NR 11,000 along with mobile sets and clothes. The gang had vandalized six houses before attacking the Police post. Later, two persons, Sancha Lal Lopchan and Bishwo Moktan of Padampokhari, were arrested along with khukuris (sharp edged weapon) and swords in connection with the attack, Police said.
