Acting on a tip off, Police arrested one Nazir Ahmad Ganaie after recovering INR 5 00, 000 cash from him at Harmain in Shopian District in the evening of March 28. The money recovered from Ganaie can be described as proceeds of terrorism. He is likely to have received the money from a courier for onward distribution among militants, said Senior Superintendent of Police (Shopian) Shahid Mehraj.
