A joint team of the Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh Police rescued a contractor, Ashish Agarwal of Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi District of Orissa and his driver from Keradih village under Raidih Police Station area in the Gumla District on July 14, reports Times of India. The Police also arrested one of the kidnappers, identified as Nilodhar Nayak of Thuwamula village in Kalahandi District (Orissa) and seized a Bolero which was used by the abductors. According to the Gumla Superintendent of Police, the abduction was executed by a People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) squad led by one Gudu Oraon. The PLFI is a breakaway faction of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
