Acting on a tip-off, a Police team went to the Gobra hills where Maoists had assembled to plan a crime. On seeing the Policemen the Maoists opened fire, triggering an encounter with the Police, Director General of Police (DGP) Neelmani said. The arrested Maoists were reportedly involved in the August 30 operation in Kajra forest in Lakhisarai District and also involved in Sangrampur block blast, setting ablaze of election campaign vehicle in Kharagpur recently besides several others cases, the DGP said.
