Pradhan was arrested from his home. The two other accused were arrested during anti-Maoist combing operations. While Baladamajhi is a resident of Malliguda near Kotagarh, Petaguluduka hailed from Dembaguda in Chandrapur area in Rayagada District. The Police said Pradhan was involved in planting landmines in Daringibadi Police Station area in December, 2011. He also supplied rice and other food items to the Maoists, the Police said. Baladamajhi was involved in an exchange of fire between Maoists and security personnel at Malliguda in January 2010. Petaguluduka was involved in the death of three policemen in a landmine blast at Srirampur near Kotagarh on January 5.
