Ashrat Ansari, Sayed Anees and his wife Fehmida Sayed were held guilty by a special anti-terrorism court in 2009, under the now-repealed Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) for their conspiracy to trigger four blasts - an unexploded bomb in a BEST bus in December 2002 a blast in a Ghatkopar BEST bus in July 2003 that killed two and the twin blasts at the Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar on August 25, 2003.
