Three women cadres of Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) were arrested by the Police near Soroda area in Ganjam District on February 13 evening, reports The Hindu. The arrested Maoists are identified as Malati Majhi alias Lata (28) of Bujuli village under Daringbadi Police Station in Kandhamal District, in charge of personal security of Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda, Kadame Bulu (19) and Telam Soni alias Ratna (22), both hailing from Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh. The two Chhattisgarh cadres were originally part of Gangalur Area Division of West Bastar Division under Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee. Lata is said to be a senior member of the organisation who had taken part in the attack on Nayagarh town and Police armoury in 2008.
