Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Imtiaz Altaf was informed by secret sources that an attempt was being made to smuggle huge cache of arms from Darra Adam Khel into Punjab. Immediately after the information, CCPO Peshawar ordered Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) to put Police on high alert and started strict surveillance on all roads entry and exit points of provincial capital Peshawar. Superintendent Police Rural, Shafiullah along with DSP circle, SHO Matni and Police party stopped a suspicious car bearing registration number RPX-733 coming from tribal area Darra Adam Khel on Mariam Zai Road. Checking of the vehicle led to recovery of huge amount of arms concealed in secret cavities, including 13150 bullets of different bores, 15 pistols of 30 bore and arrested the arms smuggler Sarfraz Ahmad, resident of Darra Adam Khel.
