The 3.50 kilograms weight IED with RDX explosive materials was discovered by troops of 15 Assam Rifles posting at Khongjom along NH-2 at Uningkhong, a place located between Wangjing and Tentha in Thoubal District. Personnel of the State Police bomb detection and disposal squad assisted by bomb experts from the Army defused the IED safely and disposed-off later at an open place at Thoubal Khunou. They recovered 12 batteries and six detonators with IED, made with RDX material.
