Bawne was wanted for participating in antinational activities with Deshbhakti Yuva Manch, the front organization of urban Naxal outfit that was busted in January 2008. He also was accused of putting up provocative Naxal pamphlets in Bramhapuri in 2011. He was produced before the court, which granted him Police Custody Remand (PCR) till December 17 on December 10.
