A Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) sympathizer, identified as Kuthloor Shashidhar Gowda, was arrested by the Police from Andar village bus stop under Karkal taluk (revenue unit) in Udupi District on April 8, Daijiworld.com reported. Gowda, brother of a slain Maoist, was arrested during his visit to his brother''s home at Kabbinale village. Police recovered some Maoist pamphlets from his bag. He confessed during interrogation that he gets the pamphlets from a man, identified as Hoovappa, from Sringeri in Chikmagalur District, and admitted that he pasted some pro-Maoist wall posters at Mutlupady bus stand in Udupi District a few weeks back. He also revealed that he used to take about 10 to 15 people to meetings of the CPI-Maoist. He mentioned that CPI-Maoist cadres Vasant, Sundar and others visited his home often to collect food grains.
