Kantipuronline reports that two schoolteachers from Kharibot of Gorkha District were compelled to leave the village after the cadres of the Young Communist League (YCL) assaulted them on August 26. Ram Chandra Dhital and Krishna Prasad Dhital of Starna Lower Secondary School, who arrived at the District headquarters Gorkha Bazar on Thursday, said about 25 YCL activists dragged them out of the school building and assaulted in the afternoon. Krishna Prasad was severely wounded in the incident. According to Krishna Prasad, YCL activists led by one Suman Priyar also attacked other staff of the school, including the chairman of the school management committee Teknidhi Pokharel. The YCL has accused the school management committee of appointing Krishna Prasad illegally. He was appointed as a relief quota teacher for the school.
