A former cadre of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Naman Kandulna, was killed by his former mates in Goeilkera area of West Singhbhum District, on March 24, reports The New Indian Express. Kandulna, who had quit the Maoist outfit, had returned to his village Pandava to attend the tribal festival Maghe. A group of Maoists reached the village and reportedly shot him dead, calling him police broker . Efforts are on to retrieve the body, said West Singhbhum Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Kamboj. However, he said, as per preliminary report, the murder took place over money dispute. Kandulna was managing the financial transactions of the outfit s zonal commander Prasadji and went underground with INR 1.5 to INR 2 million.
