Indian Express added that on April 10 NIA brought an alleged cadre of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), identified as Abu Gilani, from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad. Gilani was arrested by the Gujarat Police for his alleged role in the July 26, 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts. He was brought from Sabarmati jail in Ahmedabad. Sources said though Balani, had no direct link with Hyderabad earlier, he is said to be having a link with the terror suspects.
