A Police team led by ASP M Tajul Islam raided Bhadrajhali village in the sub-district and arrested JeI leader Sirajul Islam, an accused in a case filed with Kaliganj Police Station on charge of JeI-ICS violence. As the news of Sirajul s arrest spread, a huge number of JeI-ICS cadres encircled the Police team and snatched Sirajul away from the Police team. They also attacked and vandalised the covered van of the Police team leaving five Policemen, including ASP M Tajul Islam, injured. Later, Police arrested ICS cadre Tohidul Islam from the area.
