Meanwhile, the Rayagada encounter has also revaealed plans of CPI-Maoist to increase their base in south Odisha through a new division headed by cadres from Chhattisgarh, reports The Hindu. According to sources, a banner in the name of Indravati Division of CPI-Maoist was among the Maoist materials seized from the July 19 Rayagada encounter site. Till now Indravati Division of Maoists had never come to the fore. There were around 50 persons at the camp when the encounter took place. Identity of one of the slain Maoist has been ascertained to be of Nadalal Netam of Gariabandh District of Chhattisgarh. The other two killed Maoists were also suspected to cadres from Chhattisgarh.
