Earlier, on the night of January 22, a civilian was killed by unidentified terrorists at Sagam in Anantnag district. In Budgam district, a 'commander' of the Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen was arrested from Narkara. In another operation, a civilian was arrested after SFs raided his residence at Chagimullah, Kupwara and seized rifles and ammunition. In the same district, a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) terrorist surrendered before SFs at Natnoosa. Another HM terrorist surrendered in Pulwama. In the same district, two security forces (SF) personnel guarding a bridge at Naina-Sangam were overpowered by a group of unidentified terrorists who took away their weapons. There were no casualties. The two personnel have been suspended and a probe was ordered into the incident.
