Nagaland Post reports that Dimapur Police, on November 8, arrested five persons on charges of abduction and also rescued a victim abducted by the same persons from Seithikiema Basa in Dimapur District. In a press statement, Dimapur Police identified the five accused as Roland Poumai alias Romeo Salunu Poumai, Paruatomba Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) assistant officer Bavie Poumai, Paruatomba, Dahar Poumai (25) and Mariam alias Sentisenla Poumai (30). The police rescued one abducted person who was kept in captivity for one week by the accused. One 9mm pistol (country made) five 9mm live rounds five mobile handsets three iron chains two locks one car and camouflage dress (two shirts and one long pant) were seized from the possession of the abductors, said the Police.
