In Laxmipur District, Fayez Ahmed (66), Nayeb-e-Ameer (Deputy Chief) of JeI s District unit, was killed after a team of Police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel raided his house. Marzia Begum, wife of the JeI leader said the team took Ahmed to the rooftop, shot him in the head, and then tossed the body from there. However, officials of RAB said there had been no shooting during the raid. The JeI leader fell from the roof as he tried to escape arrest.
