Gumla District Police arrested a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre on January 17 from Baghima village in the District, reports The Times of India. He was engaged in making posters and pasting them on the walls asking people to boycott the Republic Day. The arrested Maoist has been identified as Arbind Kindo, a member of Maoist area commander Khudi Munda's squad, said Gumla Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) D K Pande. Kindo is a resident of Jena village under under the Palkot Police Station, he added. One country-made pistol, four 3.15 bore bullets, two mobile sets, one motorcycle and a copy of poster containing a call for boycott of the Republic Day have been seized from him, he said.
