Chhattisgarh Police have arrested five Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) conduits, part of an urban network, from their native places under Bhansi Police Station limits in Dantewada District on February 9, reports The Times of India. Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Mukesh Gupta said Among the arrested Maoists, Santu Kunjam, a commander level cadre was part of the May 25 attack at Darbha valley which killed Congress leaders including Mahendra Karma, Nandkumar Patel and Vidyacharan Shukla. ADG Gupta added that Kunjam and other three accused were under surveillance and as soon as Police received confirmed information about their whereabouts they were arrested and later brought to Raipur.
