The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres attacked a Border Security (BSF) camp and triggered an explosion at Bhejangiwada under Kalimela Police Station limits in Malkangiri District, reports The New Indian Express. A group of 60 to 70 heavily-armed Maoists surrounded the camp and fired from different directions in the night of April 14, Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhileswar Singh said. However, nobody was injured in the attack, he added. The Maoists later retreated due to retaliatory fire by the BSF. While leaving the area, the Maoist exploded a low-intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
