Frontier Corps (FC) personnel on May 5 claimed to have killed at least 10 militants during an operation in Panjgur District on May 5, reported Dawn. Tree FC soldiers were injured in the exchange of fire. FC spokesman, Khan Wasey confirmed the incident. Khan said that the FC also destroyed three suspected militant hideouts and two vehicles. He said the forces initially faced resistance from the militants who were hiding in the mountains adding that the exchange of fire between the Security Forces and militants continued for more than two hours. The dead militants belong to a banned Baloch militant group, he said.
