A group of Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cares attacked Tolo Goluru village under Pottangi Police Station limits in Koraput District and set ablaze four motorcycles and a tractor on May 10, reports The Hindu. Four persons, including the sarpanch (head of Panchayat, village level local self-Government institution), are missing after the attack. The villages fear that they might have been abducted by the Maoists, though the Police are yet to confirm it. The Maoists left posters in the village claiming that the incident was a fallout of the March 4 incident at nearby Mungulivalsa village in which two Maoists were killed during an exchange of fire with Security Forces.
