According to The Hindu, police arrested a person at Khammam in Andhra Pradesh on January 11 and recovered spare parts of rifles from him. After his confession, a Maoist den in Rourkela was raided. A laptop, party literature, CDs and parts that could be assembled into over a dozen rifles, were seized. Police sources said that the top leadership of Maoists frequented the gun-making unit.
