Around 2.30 pm, District Armed Police and the 94th battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) raided Hurwa forest in Arki Police Station area, based on a tip-off about the presence of around 12 Maoist cadres. Commenting on the incident, Khunti Superintendent of Police (SP) M. Tamilvanan said, The rebel has been identified as 24-year-old Binda Pahan, who was wanted in two cases. As many as 15 rounds of ammunition have also been recovered. The Maoist was a close aide of notorious zonal commander Kundan Pahan, adds The Times of India.
